Hanuman Ansh box office Day 52: Spiritual drama crosses Rs 400 crore worldwide
Hanuman Ansh continues to show remarkable staying power at the box office, crossing Rs 400 crore worldwide. The spiritual drama, now in its eighth week, recorded another strong collection on Sunday despite the arrival of new releases such as Nani’s The Paradise and Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s The Vvaan - Force of the Forest.
According to trade website Sacnilk, Hanuman Ansh collected Rs 9 crore nett on Day 52 across 4,387 shows. Its total India nett collection has now reached Rs 307.03 crore, while the India gross stands at Rs 362.70 crore.
The film added another Rs 75 lakh from overseas on Sunday, taking its international gross to Rs 38.50 crore. Its worldwide gross collection has now climbed to Rs 401.20 crore.HANUMAN ANSH MAINTAINS ITS BOX OFFICE RUN
The Day 52 collection marks another healthy weekend for Hanuman Ansh, which has continued to attract audiences well into its theatrical run.
On Day 51, the film collected Rs 6.50 crore nett, taking its India gross to Rs 352.10 crore and worldwide gross to Rs 389.85 crore at the time. The Sunday jump has now pushed the film past the Rs 400-crore mark globally.
The film had also seen a notable rise on Day 51, with overall theatre occupancy reaching 44.04 per cent. Night shows recorded the strongest response at 59.62 per cent.
The film has managed to hold its ground despite competition from two major releases. Nani’s The Paradise, which arrived in theatres on September 24, has also recorded a strong weekend, collecting Rs 15.70 crore nett on Day 4. Its worldwide gross has reached Rs 138.25 crore.
Meanwhile, The Vvaan - Force of the Forest, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, has also picked up pace over the weekend. The film earned Rs 14 crore nett on Day 3, taking its worldwide gross to Rs 43.15 crore.
Despite the fresh competition, Hanuman Ansh has continued to find an audience in its eighth week.ABOUT HANUMAN ANSH
Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh is based on his book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life. The film follows Lakshmi Narayan, a young man in pre-Independence India who leaves home after his mother's death and sets out on a spiritual journey.
His travels across northern India eventually lead him towards becoming Neem Karoli Baba.
Shobhinaw Satyaa plays Lakshmi Narayan Sharma, while Chandan K Anand, Nikhil Dubey, Anil Rastogi and Sugandha Malhotra are also part of the cast.- Ends
