Hanuman Ansh crosses $3.5 million in 12 days, becomes 2nd-highest overseas grosser

Hanuman Ansh has added another box-office milestone to its remarkable theatrical run, crossing the $3.5-million mark in overseas collections within 12 days of its international release. The film, directed by Vishal Chaturvedi and based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba, has emerged as the second-highest overseas-grossing Indian film of 2026, according to the makers.

The overseas run began on September 11, more than a month after Hanuman Ansh opened in India on August 7. Hombale Overseas took charge of the film's international distribution in association with Phars Film, expanding its theatrical release across overseas markets.

Speaking about the film's overseas performance, the producer credited Hombale Overseas for taking the film to international audiences.

“Hombale Overseas has been one of Hanumanji ke Doots for us. Massive gratitude for the world of cinema they have opened for us. The audience and makers of Hanuman Ansh are in eternal gratitude to them for taking the values of Maharaj-ji to the world. Maharaj-ji said, ‘Vishwa aayga’ and here we are,” the producer said.

The film's international performance is notable given its modest opening in India. Hanuman Ansh began its domestic theatrical run with around Rs 10 lakh on Day 1 before gaining momentum over the following weeks. The film's India nett has since crossed Rs 280.93 crore, while its worldwide gross has moved past Rs 366.45 crore in 47 days, according to the latest box-office figures by trade website, Sacnilk.

The overseas release has contributed significantly to that worldwide total. Within its first six days internationally, the film had already collected Rs 20.25 crore overseas, with the opening weekend contributing Rs 14.50 crore.

North America has been one of the key markets for the film. Hanuman Ansh crossed the $1-million mark in North America within six days, collecting $1.05 million during that period, according to figures cited by distributor Prathyangira Cinemas. It entered the top 10 Bollywood grossers of 2026 in the territory at that stage.

The overseas success also came after the film had already established a strong domestic run. Made on a reported budget of around Rs 2 crore, Hanuman Ansh initially had a limited theatrical presence but saw its collections rise sharply through word of mouth. Its fourth and fifth weeks proved particularly strong, with the film continuing to hold substantial show counts even as newer releases arrived.

The international release has therefore extended a box-office run that was already well underway in India. The film's overseas collections have now crossed the $3.5 million milestone in 12 days, adding another record to the long list.
