Harry Kane has signed a contract extension at Bayern Munich to keep the worldβs best player with the German giants until 2029.
The England captain puts pen to paper on a new deal 10 days after pipping Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappe to the Ballon dβOr, rewarded for his sensational goalscoring year for Bayern.
βI feel right at home at FC Bayern,β Kane said. βI love the club, the fans and the city of Munich.
βWe have a fantastic team and, in Vincent Kompany, a fantastic manager. It makes me very proud to be part of this club. My whole family is very happy here. I was keen to stay. Iβm now looking forward to the future and I want to win many more titles with this great club.β
Kane has scored 156 goals in 161 competitive appearances for Bayern since making the switch from Tottenham in 2023, including a staggering 61 goals in 51 outings last season as the club achieved a league and cup double.
His first Bundesliga title came the season prior in 2024/25, which saw Kane finally end his wait for team silverware after 14 trophyless years at Spurs.
The 33-year-old has kept up his exceptional form in front of goal this term, notching 10 goals and eight assists in 14 games so far this term.
Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen added: βWeβre delighted to have successfully extended Harry Kaneβs contract. This is fantastic news for us, for our fans and for the Bundesliga. The Ballon dβOr winner is staying at Bayern Munich.
βSince joining us in 2023, he has achieved extraordinary things with his goals, his influence on the game and as a role model both on and off the pitch. He has long since made FC Bayern his home, has continued to develop with us and crowned that development with the Ballon dβOr. His contract extension is a commitment to FC Bayern and to a story that is far from over.β
Kane still trails Alan Shearerβs all-time Premier League scoring record by 47 goals, which has always led to speculation surrounding a potential return to England in the near future.
But the striker quashed any talk by insisting he has no plans to make such a move following his Ballon dβOr triumph, instead focusing on winning the Champions League with Bayern and a major trophy with England.
Kane said: βNot at the moment, not right now. Iβm loving life in Munich. Bayern are such a great club. We have an amazing team, a great coach [Vincent Kompany]. So yeah, right now thatβs where my focus is, and Iβm extremely happy, and to be winning awards like this just shows why I made the move in the first place.β
