Hassan district wing of JD(S) gets new office-bearers

Janata Dal (Secular) national president and former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda has reconstituted the party’s organisation in his native district Hassan.

B.A. Jagannath, a senior leader of the party and resident of Ballupete in Sakaleshpur taluk, has been appointed honorary president of the party’s district wing. Nataraj Iswamygowda, a native of Belur taluk, has been appointed president. He replaced former MLA K.S. Lingesh.

Former ZP member B.S. Ashok of Banavara in Arasikere taluk has been appointed working president. H.L. Ramachandra of Hassan is secretary. C. Kranthi, son of one of the founders of Dalit Sangharsha Samiti late Chandraprasad Tyagi, is assistant secretary, said a communique from the party.
