Honda Cars India is scheduled to launch the facelifted Elevate SUV in India today, October 6. The updated mid-size SUV gets refreshed exterior styling, a more feature-packed cabin and additional equipment, while continuing with the existing petrol powertrain. India will be the first market globally to receive the facelifted Elevate. Bookings for the new Elevate are already open at Honda dealerships across the country for Rs 21,000. With the update, Honda is looking to strengthen the Elevate's presence in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment.

The Elevate already features Honda Sensing ADAS, offering functions such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and collision mitigation braking. The facelift further enhances driver visibility with the addition of a 360-degree camera, particularly useful while parking and during low-speed manoeuvres.

One of the major additions is a factory-fitted 360-degree camera, replacing the dealer-installed accessory setup offered with the outgoing SUV. The facelift is also expected to feature ventilated front seats, which were earlier available only as accessories. Other expected upgrades include a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, revised cabin trim, ambient lighting, a powered front passenger seat, rear sunblinds and dual-zone climate control. The updated Elevate is also expected to feature a lighter cabin colour scheme, with ambient lighting extending across the dashboard and door pads.

The cabin receives a more substantial equipment upgrade, with Honda adding features increasingly common among rivals in the mid-size SUV segment, along with a new upholstery colour.

The updated Honda Elevate retains the same alloy wheel design as the outgoing model.

At the rear, the Elevate gets a new connected lightbar linking the tail-lamps. The update gives the SUV a fresher look while retaining its familiar design and proportions.

Overall, Honda has taken an evolutionary approach with the facelift, making targeted styling changes rather than giving the Elevate a complete redesign.

The facelift brings several styling updates to the Elevate, while retaining the SUV’s familiar overall shape and proportions. The most noticeable changes are at the front, with new segmented LED daytime running lights integrated into the grille. The Honda logo has also moved from the grille to the bonnet, giving the SUV a more distinct look. The grille has been redesigned, while the bumper is expected to get minor revisions. New alloy wheel designs have also been introduced, although the existing LED headlamp setup appears to remain unchanged.

Honda will announce the prices of the updated Elevate today at around 7-8pm.

Honda's strong-hybrid powertrain, available with the City, is unlikely to be introduced with the Elevate facelift. For now, the updated SUV continues with the existing naturally aspirated petrol engine.

The Elevate facelift retains Honda's 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine, delivering around 121hp and 145Nm of torque. It is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission.

The Honda Elevate facelift competes in the crowded mid-size SUV segment, taking on rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Renault Duster and Nissan Tekton.

The facelift marks the first major update to the Honda Elevate since its launch in India. The SUV gets a revised front-end design, with changes to the grille, bumper and lighting elements giving it a fresher look. The updates are aimed at keeping the Elevate's design current while maintaining its familiar overall shape.
