The Consumer Council said that by 5pm on Thursday, it had received 27 complaints involving losses of HK$429,326 related to the closure of Hotstone Yoga.

The Customs and Excise Department also posted a notice outside the company’s studio in Kwun Tong to inform the public that it was investigating the matter.

A customer who only identified herself as Chan told the South China Morning Post on Thursday that she understood at least 500 customers had suffered financial losses due to the abrupt closure.
