Jess MaPublished: 5:03pm, 28 Sep 2026Updated: 7:19pm, 28 Sep 2026Hong Kong immigration authorities are cracking down on tourists abusing their visas to run unlicensed one-stop shops offering cosmetic, photography and tour guide services.

Li Kwing-chiu, a task force commander with the Immigration Department, said on Monday that four women, aged 20 to 31, had been arrested for allegedly breaching their conditions of stay by running a one-stop shop that charged several hundred Hong Kong dollars a day for various services.

The suspects entered the city on tourist visas on Sunday and Monday, he added.

“We urge visitors and residents to be cautious when using social media to purchase services and avoid turning to unknown sources out of convenience, as this may risk breaking the law,” he said.
