HR manager stabbed to death at burger cart, family alleges attackers were drunk

A 45-year-old man was killed and his relative injured after an argument at a burger cart escalated into a violent clash in Haryana's Faridabad, police said. The incident took place around 10 pm, and CCTV footage of the altercation has surfaced.

The victim, Laxman Bhardwaj, was at the Sector 62 market with his nephew Mahesh. According to the family, the two had stepped out to buy some household items when they stopped at a burger cart.

Police said Laxman and Mahesh had come to the area to eat burgers and got into an argument with the burger vendor over some issue. The dispute soon escalated.

According to the family, some youths present at the cart then began assaulting Laxman and Mahesh. The family alleged that several of the men were under the influence of alcohol.

During the altercation, one of the youths allegedly attacked Laxman with a knife. He sustained serious injuries and later died. Mahesh was also injured and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Laxman's family has alleged that the burger cart operator and the youths present there were responsible for the attack. They have demanded the immediate arrest of the accused and strict action against them.

The family has also alleged that people openly consume alcohol and gather in the area around the cart, making it difficult for women and young girls to pass through the locality.

Laxman, a resident of Sahupura village in Faridabad, worked as an HR manager at a private company in Delhi.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. They are examining the CCTV footage to identify and arrest those involved.

The allegations made by the family, including the claim that the youths were drunk and the role of the burger-cart operator, are being investigated by the police.- Ends
