Hyundai records highest-ever monthly sales of 77,916 units in September
Hyundai Motor India recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in September 2026, with total sales of 77,916 units, including domestic sales and exports. The automaker registered a 10.8% year-on-year growth during the month.
Hyundai’s domestic sales stood at 57,166 units in September, up 10.9% compared to the same month last year. Exports also grew 10.4% year-on-year to 20,750 units.
The September performance surpassed Hyundai’s previous record for total monthly sales, which was set in July 2026.
Hyundai said the growth was supported by both its domestic and export markets. The company expects demand to remain strong during the ongoing festive season, with bookings also opening for the Hyundai Bayon, which will be introduced in India as an all-new nameplate.
Commenting on the sales performance, Tarun Garg, MD and CEO, Hyundai Motor India, said the company recorded its highest-ever total monthly sales in September, with growth across both domestic and export markets.
The Hyundai Bayon will expand the company’s product portfolio in India as the automaker looks to capitalise on the festive season.
