IHC dismisses plea against judges
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday dismissed a petition challenging the appointments of Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz.
Justice Khadim Hussain Somroo announced the reserved judgment. Counsel GM Chaudhry appeared on behalf of the petitioner, who had sought a declaration that the appointments of the two judges to the Islamabad High Court were unlawful and requested their removal from office.
The appointments of Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz to the IHC had been challenged through the petition.
