India have a very good chance of clinching their first gold medal in the Asian Games as the women’s cricket team takes on Sri Lanka in a repeat of the recently concluded Asia Cup final. The Women in Blue had defeated the Lankans to clinch their 8th Asia Cup title a couple of weeks back and will be raring to do it again on Tuesday in Japan.
Meanwhile, double silver medallist Elavenil Valarivan will team up with Parth Mane in 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team qualification and go for another medal if they reach the final. The Indian badminton teams, both men and women will face Japan while India fencers and India Karate athletes will also have chances to win medals, subject to qualification.
