IndiGo cancels 24 flights to and from Ranchi airport due to adverse weather

IndiGo has cancelled 12 scheduled flight rotations at Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi on Friday, September 25, due to adverse weather conditions, affecting 24 aircraft movements, the airline said.

The cancellations include 12 arrivals and 12 departures involving flights connecting Ranchi with Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad and Patna.

According to IndiGo, the cancellations were necessitated by weather conditions at Ranchi airport. Among the cancelled services are flights 6E 7561 and 6E 7562 on the Kolkata-Ranchi-Kolkata route, 6E 6484 and 6E 6799 on the Pune-Ranchi-Bengaluru route, and 6E 421 and 6E 398 operating between Hyderabad and Ranchi.

Flights 6E 6087 and 6E 6088 between Mumbai and Ranchi have also been cancelled.

Services connecting Ranchi with Ahmedabad, Patna, Delhi and Bengaluru are also among those affected.

Three Delhi-Ranchi-Delhi rotations scheduled through the day have been cancelled. The airline has also cancelled three Kolkata-Ranchi-Kolkata services and one Patna-Ranchi-Ahmedabad rotation.PASSENGERS ADVISED TO CHECK FLIGHT STATUS

IndiGo has advised passengers to check the latest status of their flights before travelling to the airport and remain in contact with the airline for updates.
