According to police, Sonila was found unconscious in room number 101 of the LX Hotel in Indore. The incident was reported to the police at around 2 pm. She was immediately taken to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Police have now intensified their efforts to trace Deepak Khandelwal, a pipe businessman who was reportedly present with Sonila at the hotel before she was found unconscious.PRELIMINARY POSTMORTEM POINTS TO HANGING ANGLE

Sonila's body was sent for postmortem examination as part of the investigation. Police said the preliminary findings indicate a possible death by hanging.

However, authorities are awaiting the short postmortem report to establish the exact cause and circumstances of her death. Police have not yet reached any conclusion about how the woman died and are investigating all aspects of the case.

According to information gathered during the investigation, Sonila arrived at the hotel before Deepak Khandelwal. He reportedly reached the room around an hour after her arrival.

Police said Khandelwal remained inside the room for around 40 minutes before leaving. He then informed hotel staff that Sonila was unconscious inside the room. The hotel staff subsequently arranged for her to be taken to hospital, but she could not be saved.CCTV FOOTAGE UNDER POLICE SCANNERCCTV footage from the hotel has also emerged as part of the investigation. The footage reportedly shows the woman being taken to a car and transported to hospital.

Police are examining the CCTV footage to establish the sequence of events inside and outside the hotel and to verify the movements of people connected to the case.

Investigators are particularly looking for Deepak Khandelwal, whose account could help clarify what happened inside room number 101 before Sonila was found unconscious.

Police are also recording statements from Sonila's family members as part of the investigation. Her family took her body to Rajgarh after the postmortem for the last rites.

Officials said further details about the circumstances surrounding the death are expected to emerge after the short postmortem report and questioning of Khandelwal.
