Innovation, technical skills, hard work, and determination are crucial for young people to overcome challenges and shape their future, Advisor to the Andhra Pradesh government and chairman of APNRT Dr. Ravi Kumar Vemuru said on Monday (September 28, 2026).
Addressing the inaugural session of a two-day “National Management Meet” at Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU), Dr. Vemuru stressed the need for students to remain aware of social developments and act responsibly. He said innovation and technical competence, coupled with social awareness, would help youth respond effectively to emerging challenges.
The meet, organised jointly by the Departments of Commerce and Business Administration and International Business Studies, is being attended by around 250 teams from colleges across the country. Various competitions are being conducted to promote creativity, leadership, and managerial skills.
University Executive Council member and industrialist Tulasi Ramachandra Prabhu said industries increasingly preferred candidates with practical knowledge and problem-solving abilities. He urged students to strengthen their creativity and technological expertise to contribute to India’s economic aspirations.
Inaugurating the event, Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. Gangadhara Rao said such platforms provided students opportunities to demonstrate their talents and develop confidence through creative activities.
Rector Prof. Ramineni Sivarama Prasad encouraged students to pursue entrepreneurship, while Registrar Prof. G. Simhachalam stressed practical learning, communication skills, and adaptability.
Event Convener Prof. V. Chandrasekhar Rao said management education should extend beyond classrooms. Competitions such as “Trade Titans” and “Next-Gen Management” are being conducted as part of the two-day event.
