The National Energy Regulator of South Africa (Nersa) is a regulatory authority established as a juristic person in terms of section 3 of the National Energy Regulator Act of 2004.

It is mandated to regulate the electricity, piped-gas and petroleum pipeline industries in terms of the Electricity Regulation Act of 2006, Gas Act of 2001 and Petroleum Pipelines Act of 2003.

Nersa contributes towards youth and skills development in South Africa through its Internship and Learnership Programmes.

These programmes provide an opportunity for unemployed graduates to gain meaningful workplace exposure and develop new skills and knowledge.

Nersa is recruiting interns/learners with appropriate competencies for 24-month Internship/Learnership Programmes across 21 divisions.

Candidates must submit a separate application for each programme they wish to apply for.
