International diplomatic efforts are continuing to resolve outstanding issues and restore the Islamabad agreement, Iran’s interior ministry said on Saturday.
Interior ministry spokesman Ali Zeynivand told a news briefing that Tehran is insisting that the other side fulfil its commitments under the deal, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.
The agreement was a decision approved by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and ratified by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, Zeynivand said.
He said Iran’s diplomacy remained active through President Masoud Pezeshkian’s participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and BRICS meetings, as well as through ongoing consultations.
