Is Nate Frazier playing today? Latest update on injured Georgia RB - UGA Wire

Georgia Bulldogs running back Nate Frazier left and did not return during the Bulldogs' 45-17 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks last week. Frazier is officially listed as questionable on the SEC's availability report, which will be updated again 90 minutes before Georgia's 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff against the Oklahoma Sooners.

If Frazier is unable to go, then Georgia fans should expect the Bulldogs to play running back Chauncey Bowens a lot of snaps. Bowens is coming off a three touchdown game against Arkansas and is more of a power back than Frazier.

The Bulldogs' depth chart beyond Frazier and Bowens gets murky quickly. Georgia is without running back Dante Dowdell, a Kentucky transfer, who was seriously injured in an ATV accident this offseason. Dowdell projected as Georgia's No. 3 running back.

This season, the Bulldogs have given the third-most carries to a running back to Nick Peal and Bo Walker (both have 12 carries). We'd expect Walker and even the explosive Dwight Phillips Jr. to get carries to rest Bowens ahead of Peal.

Nate Frazier is officially listed as questionable. On3's Pete Nakos reports that Frazier, who is reportedly dealing with a ribs injury, is expected to play. It remains to be seen if he will take on his usual workload.

Frazier leads Georgia running backs in all major rushing categories with 24 carries for 202 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns. Frazier has one rushing touchdown in every Georgia game this season. Frazier has one reception for five yards this season.

Chauncey Bowens has actually gotten significantly more looks in the passing game with six receptions for 90 yards and touchdown. Bowens is Georgia's third leading receiver in yardage and receptions.
