Istanbul Airport was Europe's busiest airport between June 29 and July 5, averaging 1,603 flights per day, according to the latest European Aviation Report released by the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL).
The figures placed Istanbul ahead of all other major European aviation hubs during the reporting period, reflecting the airport's continued role as a key global transit center.
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol ranked second with an average of 1,398 daily flights, followed closely by Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport with 1,389. London Heathrow handled 1,323 flights per day, while Frankfurt Airport rounded out the top five with an average of 1,318 daily flights.
The latest rankings highlight Istanbul Airport's sustained growth in passenger and air traffic, reinforcing its position as one of the world's leading international aviation hubs.
