The 2027 edition of the Spanish Super Cup will be held in Istanbul from February 2 to 7, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has announced.

All four matches will take place at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium, with Spanish giants Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid joined by Real Sociedad in the four-team tournament.

The RFEF said it had reviewed bids from seven different countries before selecting Istanbul as the host city.

The federation described the Spanish Super Cup as an established event on the international football calendar, noting that the tournament is broadcast in more than 150 countries worldwide.

Barcelona won the 2016 edition of the competition, and will return to Istanbul in 2027 as one of the four teams competing for the trophy.
