Jagan complains to Governor on DSC-2025 ‘irregularities’, seeks CBI probe

YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday sought a CBI inquiry into alleged irregularities in the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment and complained to Governor S. Abdul Nazeer about the alleged attack on party leaders, workers and unemployed youth at the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) office on September 21.

After meeting the Governor at Lok Bhavan, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy told the media that the DSC recruitment process suffered from serious irregularities, and said a CBI probe was necessary to restore confidence of job aspirants.

He alleged that the question paper preparation and examination conduct were entrusted to the same SCERT Director, outsourced personnel were given control over the process, and a candidate named Naveen was removed from the merit list despite securing first rank in Krishna district.

Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy also questioned the appointments made under sports quota G.O.s 4 and 47, alleging that 372 candidates were appointed without examination, while subsequent G.O.s 23, 25 and 56 mandated an examination.

He further alleged that fake sports certificates were used in the recruitment, and sought investigation into appointments allegedly based on such certificates.

Referring to an audio and video purportedly relating to alleged negotiations over DSC jobs, the YSRCP president alleged that the person concerned was not arrested despite the phone number being visible.

On the SAAP incident, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that YSRCP had sought permission for a peaceful protest, but ruling TDP supporters organised a parallel demonstration and attacked the protesters. He alleged that the police registered cases against the YSRCP leaders, workers and unemployed youth, with about 350 people booked, including under attempt-to-murder and SC/ST Act provisions.

He also referred to the Supreme Court's observations in the Sai Krishna custodial death case and alleged police excesses under the present government. Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy demanded the resignation of the HRD Minister.
