Jim O'Neill on UK Economy, Taxes

Former Goldman Sachs Group chief economist Jim O’Neill warned UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham against raising taxes on banks and businesses, saying the moves would threaten economic growth. O'Neill also cautioned that rising gilt yields could yet reverse before the October 28 budget, so it’s too early to say what Chancellor of the Exchequer John Healey  will need to do regarding tax-and-spend.
