JK Tyre launches four new OTR tyres for construction and mining applications
JK Tyre has introduced four new off-the-road (OTR) tyre products for construction, material handling and mining applications at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2026 in Greater Noida. The new range includes tyres for self-loading concrete mixers (SLCMs), backhoe loaders, telehandlers and mining tippers.
The newly launched products are the 12.5/80-18 MPT 45 16PR TL for SLCMs and backhoe loaders, 16/70-20 MPT117 14PR TL for SLCMs and telehandlers, 18-19.5 MPT117 18PR TL for SLCMs, and 12.00R20 JDO XD OTR 22PR 156/153F TT for mining tippers.
The MPT 45 tyre has been developed for mixed-terrain applications, with its tread pattern designed to provide traction and stability while maintaining even wear. It is aimed at construction equipment such as SLCMs and backhoe loaders.
The MPT117 range, meanwhile, is intended for construction and material-handling equipment. JK Tyre says the tread design is aimed at providing grip, durability and manoeuvrability for SLCMs and telehandlers. The 18-19.5 MPT117 has been introduced specifically for SLCM applications.
For mining applications, the JDO XD has been designed for mining tippers that operate in demanding conditions. Its reinforced casing and heavy-duty construction are intended to improve resistance to cuts, chips and abrasion while supporting higher load-carrying capability.
JK Tyre says the new tyres have been developed for Indian operating conditions, with a focus on durability, load capacity and service life. The company expects the products to help reduce operating costs for customers by improving tyre life and machine utilisation.
The latest launches expand JK Tyre's OTR portfolio across construction, mining and specialised industrial applications. The company is also looking to strengthen its presence in higher-value OTR segments and expand its engagement with equipment manufacturers.
