Jobberman Nigeria has recorded a data base of over 3.9 million job seekers and supported the placement of over 1.1 million people into dignified jobs in its 17 years of operations.

The job recruitment company also has over 100,000 employers in its data base and trained more than 3.3 million young people with relevant skills, improving their employability and creating stronger pathways into meaningful work.

The company disclosed this in a statement as it marked its 17th anniversary, celebrating a journey that has seen the organisation evolve from a job search company into a career development and recruitment solutions company serving job seekers, employers and professionals across Nigeria.

Founded in 2009, Jobberman has connected qualified talents with verified employers while expanding its services across recruitment, career development, training, talent assessment and personalised Human Resources (HR) solutions.

Through its recruitment and talent solutions, the organisation works with businesses across key industries to help them identify, assess and access the talent they need to build and grow.

This work has been strengthened through strategic partnerships with organisations including the Mastercard Foundation, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), United States Agency for International Development (USAID) eTrade Alliance and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Generation Unlimited, supporting initiatives focused on youth employment, inclusive hiring, skills development and workforce readiness.

Speaking on the milestone, Chief Executive Officer of The African Talent Company (TATC), parent company of Jobberman, Hilda Kabushenga, said the platform’s 17-year journey has been defined largely by the people who have contributed to its growth and relied on its services.

According to her, the achievement reflected the efforts of the teams working to address employment challenges, the employers that depend on Jobberman to make critical talent decisions and the job seekers who use the platform to pursue their career aspirations.

Kabushenga added that the core purpose behind Jobberman’s establishment 17 years ago remained relevant, noting that the platform continues to connect people with employment opportunities while helping businesses access the talent required to expand.

“When I think about Jobberman at 17, I think about the people who built it, the teams who continue to solve hard problems every day, the employers who trust us with the talent decisions that matter to their businesses, and the job seekers who trust us with their ambitions and dreams. 17 years later, the need that inspired Jobberman remains relevant: helping people find opportunity and helping businesses find the talent they need to grow,” she stated.

The 17th anniversary was celebrated under the theme “Built by People. Driven by Purpose,” and featured a series of activities designed to foster connection, collaboration and reflection among employees.

Activities included team games and challenges focused on teamwork, creativity and collaboration, alongside a reflection session centred on the art of winning.

The anniversary further featured the JobberChamps recognition, celebrating employees who demonstrated the company’s values of respect, transparency, courage, teamwork and customer obsession.

Looking ahead, Jobberman said its focus remains on being a go-to talent partner for businesses and professionals, helping organisations make informed talent decisions while enabling individuals to build the skills, experience and connections needed to navigate an evolving world of work.
