Joey King Is on the 2026 TIME100 Next - Time Magazine

Joey makes me laugh. A full belly laugh. She’s also someone I can sit and talk with for hours, about absolutely anything. And then I watch her onscreen and I see the future. 

She’s been acting for 23 years—and she’s only 27!—building an extraordinary career from Ramona and Beezus, The Dark Knight Rises, and Crazy, Stupid, Love to The Act, Bullet Train, and We Were the Lucky Ones, always with curiosity, courage, humor, and a willingness to take risks. 

Onscreen, she’s been my daughter (A Family Affair) and now my niece (Practical Magic 2). But Joey has become so much more to me off-screen. She’s someone I love and trust, and someone I know will be in my life long after the cameras stop rolling.
