Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar met Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, in New Delhi on Friday, and reportedly discussed the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Karnataka as part of the party’s nationwide campaign against the exercise.

Mr. Gandhi held a meeting with pradesh Congress committee presidents and Congress legislature party leaders from different States, during which discussions on various organisational and political issues reportedly lasted about an hour. The leaders also exchanged Deepavali greetings.

Mr. Shivakumar’s meeting with Mr. Gandhi comes days after former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah met the Congress leader and reportedly expressed concern over the “slow progress” of the investigation into the alleged sting operation targeting him.
