Karnataka Lokayukta raids eight officials across State over disproportionate assets

The Karnataka Lokayukta on Tuesday (Septemeber 22, 2026) conducted simultaneous raids at multiple locations across the State against eight government officials in connection with alleged possession of assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.

Multiple Lokayukta teams carried out searches at residential and other premises linked to the officials. The agency seized documents and details of movable and immovable properties for further investigation.

The officials searched include Darshan Gowda, FDA working at the Chikkaballapur Deputy Commissioner’s Office; H.M. Ranganath, retired AEE of the BBMP in Bengaluru; Sridevi, District Registrar in Bengaluru; H.R. Ramesh, Municipal Commissioner, Madikeri; Kiran Kumar Baindur, AEE, HESCOM, Hubballi-Dharwad; Rajeshwari, AEE, GESCOM, Kalaburagi; Manik Rao, Assistant Director, Agriculture Department, Bidar; and Shivaraju, Hostel Superintendent, Backward Classes Welfare Department, Mandya.

The Lokayukta teams are assessing the documents and property records seized during the searches. Further details, including the total value of the assets traced, are expected after completion of the searches and preliminary assessment.
