The Filipina Olympian clocked 24.75 seconds, finishing 0.77 seconds behind gold medalist Wu Qingfeng of China, who set a Games record of 23.98 seconds.
Hong Kong’s Siobhan Haughey finished second in 24.32 seconds, while China’s Cheng Yujie took third in 24.46 seconds.
Sanchez also finished fourth in the women’s 100m freestyle.
