Kennedy Center board votes to immediately close main building over safety, financial concerns
Fox News Digital confirmed Tuesday that the Kennedy Center board voted to immediately close the main building of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., citing safety and funding concerns.
Two additional sources told Fox News the board approved the closure during a special meeting. A public statement is expected.
The vote came hours after a federal judge again blocked the Kennedy Center from adding President Donald Trumpโs name to the building and plaza.

Judge Christopher Cooper ruled the Center cannot install the proposed Trump memorials without congressional approval.
It was not immediately clear how long the Kennedy Center will remain closed or how Tuesdayโs court ruling could affect the closure.
