Keralam Home Minister launches new digital platform of VACB

Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala on Friday formally launched VACB SUITE 3.0, an upgraded integrated digital platform of the Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau (VACB) for efficient vigilance case and enquiry management system. The platform features enhanced data verification, secure document storage and dashboards that are expected to prevent delays in vigilance investigations.

Notably, the software has been developed entirely by technical experts within the VACB. The digitisation of investigation-related information is expected to enable the government and the VACB to adopt accurate and timely decisions in the fight against corruption, sources said.

The application also provides tools for unit heads and senior officers to monitor investigations more effectively. Senior officers will be able to track the time taken by the investigating officers to complete investigations as well as the number of days each case has remained pending. This is expected to help them issue timely instructions and guidance to ensure that investigations progress appropriately, the Minister said.

The Minister also released the user manual for VACB SUITE 3.0 and distributed the newly designed uniforms for Vigilance personnel. Badges of Honour were also presented to Vigilance officers on the occasion.
