KPCC issues notice to SUDA chairman H.S. Sundaresh

The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has issued a notice to Shivamogga-Bhadravathi Urban Development Authority chairman and former District Congress Committee president H.S. Sundaresh over his remarks against party leaders and the party’s organisational strengthening campaign.

Former MLC and KPCC vice-president M. Narayanaswamy issued the notice to Mr. Sundaresh on Thursday, asking him to respond within seven days. In the notice, Mr. Narayanaswamy sought a response to Mr. Sundaresh’s comments on the All India Congress Committee’s Sangathan Srujan Abhiyan campaign, as well as to remarks that had caused embarrassment to party leaders. A copy of the notice has also been sent to District Congress Committee president H.C. Yogesh.

Mr. Sundaresh, at a press conference in Shivamogga on Wednesday, had alleged corruption by people close to Minister for School Education and Shivamogga district in-charge Madhu Bangarappa, and had questioned the manner in which Mr. Yogesh was chosen as president of the party’s district unit, besides making abusive comments about several party leaders.
