KPK Suspects Summarecon Involvement in ATR/BPN Corruption Sting - Tempo.co English

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that PT Summarecon Agung Tbk is linked to a sting operation (OTT) that implicated a director general at the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) and two heads of Land Offices.

KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo explained that the company is suspected of involvement in the sting operation regarding the processing of Right to Build (HGB) titles.

"In the Bogor Regency area, the party involved is Summarecon," Budi said at the KPK's Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Monday, September 14, 2026.

When asked if any Summarecon executives were implicated in the sting operation, Budi stated that the KPK would disclose that information at a later time.

"We will provide the details later," he said.

Earlier, the KPK confirmed it had conducted its 20th sting operation of the year. The operation concerned alleged corruption in the processing of HGB titles.

The KPK stated that it had arrested 17 individuals during the operation, including Lampri, the Director General of Land and Spatial Control and Enforcement at the Ministry of ATR/BPN; Sontang Coin Manurung, Head of the Bogor Regency Land Office; and Tardi, Head of the Tangerang City Land Office.

Also arrested were Fahd Arafiq, a Central Executive Board (DPP) member of the Golkar Party, and Arif Sugiyanto, the former Regent of Kebumen.

During the operation, the KPK seized cash evidence in both Rupiah and foreign currencies, with a total estimated value reaching hundreds of billions of Rupiah.

The money was packed into approximately 20 containers, such as boxes, cartons, and suitcases.

The KPK has a 24-hour window to determine the legal status of those arrested in the operation, in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP).
