Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G launched in India with 120Hz display, 6,000mAh battery
Lava has launched the Shark 2 Pro in India as the latest addition to its Shark series. It ships with a notable camera upgrade over its predecessor, the Lava Shark 2, which launched this May. The screen has a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels and is designed to offer smoother scrolling and a better viewing experience while gaming and watching videos.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T8200 chipset built on a 6nm architecture. Lava claims that the phone has scored more than 5,00,000 points on AnTuTu. The chipset is paired with 6GB of RAM, with support for up to 6GB of additional virtual RAM. It comes with 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.
For photography, the Shark 2 Pro gets a 50-megapixel AI rear camera, while its predecessor, the Shark 2, carries a 13-megapixel primary sensor. The rear camera can record videos at up to 2K at 30fps. For selfies and video calls, the phone has an 8-megapixel front camera.
The smartphone packs a 6,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. The large battery is designed to provide longer usage for everyday tasks, gaming and entertainment.
The Lava Shark 2 Pro runs Android 16 with a bloatware-free user interface. It also comes with Vayu AI, Lava's AI-powered companion. The company promises one Android OS upgrade and two years of security updates. For durability, the phone carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. The Lava Shark 2 Pro is priced at Rs 16,699 in India for the sole 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.
