Limpopo village again cut off from nearby clinic after makeshift bridge collapses - EWN

Just weeks after building a makeshift bridge, the community of Mafarafara village in Limpopo is again cut off from a nearby clinic after the structure collapsed.

In July, Eyewitness News reported that residents built the bridge using wooden logs, sticks and corrugated iron sheets to connect two remote villages in Burgersfort.

The structure provided a vital link for residents, allowing people from one village to access a local clinic situated across the swollen Tubatse River.

While the bridge was wobbly and evidently unsafe, it served as a saving grace for dozens of Mafarafara Village residents.
