Carlos Yulo won the Philippines’ first gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games after ruling the men’s floor exercise final on Thursday in Japan.

Yulo, who won two gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, also secured his first Asian Games medal with the victory.

Yulo scored 14.666 points to top the competition, while Kazakhstan’s Milad Karimi took silver with 14.600. Japan’s Shoma Tsukiyama finished third with 14.566, while Yulo’s younger brother, Karl Eldrew, placed seventh among eight competitors with 12.233.
