Love & War reunion: Bhansali, Alia, Vicky join Ranbir's 44th birthday bash

Actor Ranbir Kapoor turned 44 on September 28, and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali had a filmy birthday wish for his Love & War leading man. Bhansali Productions shared a picture from a recent get-together featuring Bhansali, Ranbir, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, along with a playful birthday message that referenced their much-awaited film.

The birthday wish comes shortly after the makers unveiled intriguing first-look posters of the three leads. Ranbir’s poster featured the actor with a blood-soaked hand, with the caption, “Ishq bhi. Jung bhi (There’s love and war as well).”

Alia Bhatt’s first look showed her in what appeared to be a cabaret dancer-inspired avatar. “Aag bhi, dilon ki jaan bhi! (She’s a queen of the hearts and there’s fire as well),” read the caption.

Vicky Kaushal’s poster, meanwhile, focused on his intense gaze. “Nazre milengi, lekin hatengi nahin! (Eyes will meet, but you can’t escape it),” the makers wrote.

The birthday post also comes after the Love & War team wrapped up the film’s shoot earlier this month. The shoot concluded with Bhansali and the team bidding an emotional farewell to the entire unit. The filmmaker is now expected to focus on the film’s post-production.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Love & War stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The film is expected to be one of Bhansali’s most ambitious and expensive projects and revolves around two army officers, played by Ranbir and Vicky, caught in a complicated love triangle involving Alia’s character.

Several behind-the-scenes pictures and videos from the sets have surfaced online since the film went on floors, keeping the buzz around the project alive.
