LPA to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over parts of PH - GMA Network
A Low Pressure Area (LPA), which is located over the coastal waters of Dumaran, Palawan, is forecasted to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over parts of the country on Friday, PAGASA reported.
Meanwhile, the Severe Tropical Storm with international name "Dujuan" (formerly LPA 09d) is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
Severe Tropical Storm Dujuan is 2,460 kilometers east northeast of extreme Northern Luzon, packing maximum sustained winds of 110 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 135 km/h, and moving northwestward at the speed of 55 km/h.
Visayas, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Batangas, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the LPA. PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms and flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao is light to moderate moving in the southwest to southeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
