LPA trough to bring rains over parts of Northern Luzon - GMA Network
The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) will affect the western section of Northern Luzon, PAGASA said in its Saturday morning forecast.
This will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Isabela, Quirino, and Nueva Vizcaya.
As of 2 a.m., the LPA was located 970 kilometers west of southwestern Luzon, with PAGASA seeing a high chance of it developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
Another LPA, located 1,870 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao, is not expected to intensify within the same period.
Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and the Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
Localized thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country.
Winds will be light to moderate, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate across the country.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:45 a.m., while sunset is expected at 6 p.m. — VBL, GMA News
