Criminal allegations against Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) officer Johannes Mokgatle are mounting at the Madlanga Commission, with a former colleague testifying against him on Tuesday.

In earlier testimony, Mokgatle was linked to murder-accused businessman Katiso "KT" Molefe.
On Tuesday, JMPD K9 unit officer Rico van Wyk revealed CCTV footage of Mokgatle and another officer.
He alleged that they were involved in the kidnapping of a child to extort R5 million.
The money was allegedly collected from the child's father by other suspects.
Van Wyk detailed challenges in gaining information on the incident from a now-late employee of a fleet-tracking company.
