Man accused in B.C. Sikh activist Hardeep Nijjar’s assassination put on FBI most-wanted list - Toronto Star

Satinderjeet Singh, aka Goldy Brar, moved onto the FBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted list, wanted for targeted killings, extortion and large-scale narcotics trafficking.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $1,000,000 (U.S.) for information leading to the arrest of Satinderjeet Singh, aka Goldy Brar. Singh is wanted for his alleged involvement in the Lawrence Bishnoi Organized Crime Group which is allegedly engaged in a variety of violent acts in Southern California, and across the United States and Canada. These acts include assassinations of political and religious figures, shootings, murders, kidnappings, extortions, assaults, and the trafficking of narcotics and weapons. Singh is based in the United States and is the alleged leader of the Group in North America. 

A reward of up to $1-million (U.S.) has been offered by the FBI for information leading to the capture of accused killer and international organized crime boss Satinderjeet Singh, aka Goldy Brar, who is alleged to run the North American arm of a crime group based in an Indian prison.

Singh also moved onto the FBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted list, wanted for targeted killings, extortion and large-scale narcotics trafficking.

Authorities say Singh is based in the U.S. and is a leader of the Lawrence Bishnoi Organized Crime group, directing targeted assassinations, kidnappings, extortions, assaults and the trafficking of narcotics and weapons.

“Goldy Brar and his network have wreaked devastating havoc on countless lives—through high-profile murders, shootings, death threats, extortion, arson, and drug trafficking,” said Lisa Moreland, the deputy commissioner of federal policing for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said in a prepared statement on Monday, as the reward was announced.

“His addition to the FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list speaks to the collective resolve to capture him,” Moreland said.

“The inclusion of this defendant on the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list underscores this administration’s determination to bring the full force of the law upon transnational criminal gangs,” said First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli.

“Working together with law enforcement in Canada, Europe and Asia, we will continue to hunt down thugs such as ‘Goldy Brar’ and ensure they never see the outside of a prison again.”

Singh’s group is allegedly led by Lawrence Bishnoi, 33, from the Punjab, India, a former student leader now in custody in India on multiple organized crime offences.

Authorities say that Bishnoi projects a public image of himself as a deeply religious patriot, while running a sweeping international criminal enterprise, using contraband cellphones and various internet-ready devices smuggled into his cell.

Canada designated the Bishnoi group as a terrorist entity in September 2025.

Canadian authorities accuse the Bishnoi group of the assassination of a prominent political and religious leader — Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was shot dead on June 18, 2023 as he left a Sikh temple in Surrey, B.C.

The FBI alleges the Bishnoi group preys on fellow criminals and well as members of the public, stealing approximately 520 kilograms (1,146.4 pounds) of cocaine in the greater Los Angeles area from rival drug trafficking gangs from March 2024 to July 2025.
