“Nationwide transport strike September 14, 2026! Dahil sa taas ng presyo ng krudo at gasolina … magtataas na naman next week!” Manibela said in a social media post.

Diesel prices could increase by P2 to P2.50 per liter, while gasoline prices could rise by P4.50 to P5 per liter, according to Jetti Petroleum president Leo Belas.

The expected increase comes amid concerns over potential disruptions to oil supplies from the Middle East, as renewed military operations in the region continue amid the US-Iran conflict.

On Sept. 8, diesel prices rose by P5.18 per liter while gasoline by as much as P4.69 per liter./ dp
