YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has questioned the selection of a candidate for a teacher post under the Mega DSC recruitment, alleging discrepancies in the candidate’s TET marks, eligibility and verification process.

In a post on X, Mr. Jagan questioned how a candidate reportedly secured the post with 65 TET marks after undergoing seven stages of verification, when the District Education Officer (DEO) subsequently declared him ineligible. “What actually was verified in those seven stages?” he asked.

Mr. Jagan said the candidate had reportedly stated that he did not know how he got the job. He also questioned the subsequent disclosure by officials that the candidate had secured 77 marks in a 2018 TET.

“If those 77 marks were already on record, why were they not considered earlier? Why did the DEO declare him ineligible? And why did this explanation emerge only after questions were raised?” the YSRCP chief asked.

He also questioned the relevance of the 77 marks, reportedly obtained under Paper-II-B for School Assistant (Special Education), when Paper-I-A was required for a Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT) post. He further questioned why the candidate appeared for the TET again in 2025 after securing 77 marks in 2018.

Mr. Jagan wondered whether the recruitment process could be considered fair and transparent, and alleged that such discrepancies enabled a “DSC scam.” He sought to know whether Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu would take moral responsibility for the alleged irregularities.
