Minister P.C. Vishnunadh promises to address architect community’s concerns

The State government will address concerns raised by the architect community in Keralam, including the demand to fix a minimum fee for projects, said Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister P.C. Vishnunadh.

The Minister was speaking at the installation ceremony of the office-bearers of the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Kerala Chapter 2026-28, here on Sunday (September 20, 2026).

Mr. Vishnunadh said construction activities in the tourism sector should reflect the culture, history, and lifestyle of the respective regions. He added such projects should be implemented through collective discussions.

The incoming chairperson for IIA Kerala Chapter Monolita Chatterjee urged the Minister to use the potential of the architectural community for the benefit of the State.

Outgoing chairperson Vinod Cyriac chaired the meet. Former MLA and IIA honorary fellow A. Pradeep Kumar and IIA national treasurer B. Sudheer spoke.
