More rain coming: Delhi-NCR, Uttarakhand, and UP to get wet on Sunday
Heavy rain is set to continue across parts of north India on Sunday, September 27, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall and isolated extremely heavy rain over Uttarakhand.
The weather system responsible for the current spell is weakening as it moves north-northwestwards, but its influence will continue to keep several parts of central and northern India wet.

Uttarakhand is expected to see the most intense rainfall on September 27, with heavy to very heavy rain and isolated extremely heavy rain likely at some places.
This comes after the hill state was already facing a strong spell of rain, with the IMD issuing similar warnings for September 26.
Neighbouring Himachal Pradesh and West Uttar Pradesh are also likely to receive heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places.
Meanwhile, East Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh could also see isolated heavy rainfall.#WATCH | Uttarakhand: Incessant rainfall across Kedarnath Dham as well as rural and urban areas of the district. A depression over northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining north Chhattisgarh was moving north-northwestwards on Saturday.

A low-pressure system is an area where air pressure is lower than its surroundings and can draw moisture into the region, helping trigger rain. Even as this depression weakens, its moisture and circulation can continue to influence rainfall farther north.
Another factor is a western disturbance that was persisting over northern India.

As of September 26, the IMD's withdrawal line extended from Gurdaspur through Chandigarh, Muzaffarnagar, Aligarh, Dholpur, Udaipur, Deesa and Naliya before reaching the Arabian Sea.
The monsoon, however, has not withdrawn from all of north India yet, and weather systems can continue producing intense rain during this transition.- Ends
