Mother, three children brutally murdered

A young woman and her two children were found dead inside their house in Sector 7-D of Surjani Town on Monday, while the third child succumbed to injuries at a hopital. According to area police, the bodies of Mehwish, 34, and her daughters Hurha, 6, and Haneen, 5, were found inside the house. An 18-month-old girl, Ashmeera, was found injured. SSP West Tariq Mastoi said the injured child was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment but succumbed to her injuries there. The Crime Scene Unit reached the house and collected forensic evidence and fingerprints. Police said the initial investigation suggested all four victims were attacked with a sharp-edged weapon and an iron rod. Police are gathering information about the woman's relatives and her husband to ascertain the motive and circumstances behind the killings. Following the incident, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed deep grief and sought an immediate report from the Additional IG Karachi. Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar also took notice of the incident and directed the SSP West to submit a detailed report. Minor driver booked in teenage girl's death case Shahra-e-Noor Jehan police have registered a case over the death of a 13-year-old girl and injuries to her father after a speeding car hit their motorcycle on Manghopir Flyover near Qalandria Chowk. The FIR No. 512 of 2026 was lodged on the complaint of the deceased's brother, Muhammad Umair. The case has been registered under sections 320, 322, 427 and 337-G of the PPC. The complainant has also nominated the minor driver of the car and those who handed over the vehicle to him. According to the FIR and police details, the accident occurred on Sunday evening on Manghopir Flyover. A grey Toyota Corolla, allegedly driven by a minor in a rash and negligent manner, struck a motorcycle carrying Younis and his two children. As a result, Younis's 13-year-old daughter Khola died on the spot, while Younis sustained serious injuries. Younis's son Abdullah was also riding on the motorcycle.
