Mumbai man arrested for killing six cats and kitten
A man has been arrested for killing six cats and a kitten in Chembur, Mumbai, triggering outrage among local residents. The animals were found dead under suspicious circumstances near the Shani Temple.
The RCF Police acted on a complaint filed by a local resident and arrested the accused after gathering leads during the investigation. According to the police, the accused confessed to killing the animals during interrogation.
Local resident Rubina Pathan, 53, filed a complaint at the RCF Police Station following the deaths. Based on her complaint, the police registered a case on September 7. The accused has been booked.POLICE PROBE MOTIVE, LOOK FOR TECHNICAL EVIDENCE
During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime. However, DCP Sameer Shaikh said the police still need to collect technical and forensic evidence to establish the circumstances of the incident.

The RCF Police are producing the accused before the court on Saturday and will seek police custody remand.
The police want custody to gather evidence related to the case, conduct a panchnama of the crime scene and collect technical evidence as part of the investigation.
