A unique exhibition celebrating centuries of history, human values and inspirational lives through the Holy Relics Expo 2026 will be held at St Theresa’s Church on Manandavadi Road in Mysuru South from September 12 to 14.
Being organised as part of the Year of Faith 2026 announced by the Diocese of Mysuru, the event will feature the exposition of Holy Relics associated with nearly 2,000 saints, making it a rare opportunity for visitors to explore an extraordinary collection connected with individuals whose lives have inspired generations across different parts of the world., according to a statement here.
The three-day expo will offer the public an opportunity to learn about the remarkable journeys of saints and historical personalities known for their contributions to humanity through service, compassion, sacrifice, education, healthcare, social reform and care for the underprivileged.
For the first time in Mysuru and the Diocese of Mysuru, such a large collection of sacred relics associated with thousands of saints will be brought together for public exposition, said a statement issued by the organisers.
The event is expected to attract visitors not only from the Christian community, but also people from various walks of life interested in history and the inspiring stories of extraordinary individuals.
The statement said that the Holy Relics Expo aims to create a space for reflection and inspiration in today’s fast-paced world.
“Visitors will have an opportunity to understand how the lives and values of saints from different periods of history continue to influence society and inspire people to lead lives based on compassion, love, service, peace and human dignity,” the statement said.
The exhibition will remain open to visitors from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on all three days. Special Masses will also be celebrated in different languages to enable wider participation, with services scheduled in Tamil at 6.15 a.m. and Kannada at 8.15 a.m. and 6 p.m. on all three days.
The inaugural Mass will be celebrated on Saturdayby the Bishop of Mysuru Francis Serrao at St. Theresa’s Church at 6 p.m. while the Parish Priest John Sagaya Pushpa Raj, the Resident Priest Jerome A., Sisters of St. Mary’s Convent, Sisters of CKC Convent, Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy Convent, Sisters of Stuthiramya Convent and parishioner will welcome the event.
The organisers, in a statement here, have extended an open invitation to families, students, young people, religious communities and members of the general public to visit the exhibition and experience this unique event.
