Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, Lokesh greet engineers on National Engineers’ Day

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Minister for IT and HRD Nara Lokesh and Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu on Tuesday greeted engineers on National Engineers’ Day and paid tributes to Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya on his birth anniversary.

Mr. Naidu described Visvesvaraya as a multifaceted genius and an unparalleled figure in Indian engineering, recalling his services to the nation. He greeted engineers whose expertise and dedication were helping position India as a leading nation globally.

Mr. Pawan Kalyan said engineers played a crucial role in developing solutions, creating opportunities and shaping the future. He lauded engineers across the country for strengthening infrastructure, advancing technology and driving India’s progress through innovation and perseverance.

Mr. Lokesh paid tributes to Visvesvaraya and saluted engineers for their contribution to improving people’s lives through innovation and problem-solving. He also posted a quiz on X, asking followers to identify the engineer after whom a famous barrage in Andhra Pradesh was named.

Mr. Ramanaidu said engineers had a crucial role in nation-building and praised their contribution to the development of irrigation and infrastructure. Engineers were playing an important role in expediting long-pending projects in Andhra Pradesh, including Polavaram, Veligonda, Polavaram Left Canal and Handri-Neeva, he said.

Mr. Ramanaidu said Visvesvaraya’s discipline, commitment and technical expertise remained an inspiration for engineers and called upon them to increasingly deploy technology for public welfare.
