Sri Narayani Hospital and Research Centre (SNRC) launched a state-of-the-art heart-lung machine on its premises in Vellore as part of World Heart Day celebrations.
According to a press release, the ₹3 crore machine was introduced as part of its efforts to strengthen advanced cardiac surgical care facilities at the centre. Lynn Schneider, founder, Lynn Schneider Foundation, New York, inaugurated the facility in the presence of professor N. Balaji, director & trustee, Sri Narayani Group of Institutions.
As part of the programme, National Voluntary Blood Donation Day was also observed at Sri Narayani Blood Centre. Volunteers, staff members, and students from various colleges participated in the blood donation drive, demonstrating the spirit of voluntary service and social responsibility, the release said.
