NBI: Celebrity plastic surgeon to submit sworn statement in death probe - GMA Network
A celebrity plastic surgeon has appeared before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and committed to submit a sworn statement as part of its investigation into the death of the mother of a Filipino-American reality television personality, NBI Director Melvin Matibag said Wednesday.
Matibag said the plastic surgeon appeared before the bureau last week, accompanied by his lawyer.
“They said they will submit [a] sworn statement with attached evidence,” he told GMA News Online in a message.
The investigation stemmed from a request for assistance filed by Ronn Tristan Perez in September after his mother died a week after undergoing four surgeries at a cosmetic and dermatologic clinic in the Philippines.
The NBI has yet to disclose further details about the investigation.— MCG, GMA News
