Nene Royal makes voice-acting debut in Disney's 'Hexed' - Bangkok Post
Nene Royal, the 16-year-old Thai rocker who won America's Got Talent 2026, will make her acting debut as the Thai voice of Billie Doe, the lead character in Disney's Hexed.
The new animated fantasy from Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind Frozen and Zootopia, is set to open in Thai cinemas on Nov 26.
Nene, whose real name is Rattikarn Amloy, said she was both delighted and excited to take on the role, noting that Billie is also 16 and she could relate to her.
"Conveying a character's emotions, thoughts and personality purely through my voice is something I've never done before, so it's a new challenge. I want to do my best to bring Billie to life," she said.
In Hexed, Billie (originally voiced by Hailee Steinfeld) is an impulsive, free-spirited teenager who discovers a hidden magical power. After accidentally unleashing it, she is swept from her familiar suburban life into Hexe, a vast realm of witches. With her cautious mother Alice, she investigates family secrets connected to the world of witches.
The film is directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, co-directed by Josie Trinidad, and produced by Roy Conli and Yvett Merino.
